NSW Transport Heritage Expo 2026

トランスポート・ヘリテージ・エキスポ2026は、2026年10月3日から5日までシドニーで開催された鉄道保存車両のイベントです。歴史的な蒸気機関車や電車、気動車などが登場し、特別列車への乗車や展示を楽しむことができました。また、エキスポ開催前後には、長年シドニーの通勤輸送を支えてきたK setの最終営業運転とさよならツアーも行われました。今回は、100年以上の歴史を持つCPH型気動車の特別運転をはじめ、K setのラストランや、イベントで活躍する保存車両など、シドニーで見られた貴重な鉄道シーンを紹介します。
Transport Heritage Expo 2026 was held in Sydney from 3 to 5 October 2026. The event featured historic railway vehicles, including steam locomotives, electric trains and railmotors, with special train rides and displays. Around the same period, Sydney's long-serving K sets also operated their final revenue service and farewell tour. This report features the special rides of the century-old CPH railmotors, the final runs of the K sets, and other memorable railway scenes from Sydney.


K set さよなら運転
K Set: Farewell Run

シドニーで45年間にわたり活躍したK setは、トランスポート・ヘリテージ・エキスポ2026最終日の10月5日、貸切のさよなら運転をもって引退。エキスポ前日の10月2日に行われた一般営業最終運転とあわせて、長年シドニーの通勤輸送を支えてきたK setの最後の姿を紹介。
After 45 years of service in Sydney, the K sets were retired following a special farewell charter on 5 October 2026, the final day of Transport Heritage Expo 2026. This report also features their final revenue service on 2 October, the day before the expo began, documenting the last runs of these trains that had served Sydney's commuters for decades.

100年以上の歴史を持つCPH型気動車が、パターソン気動車保存協会から貸し出され、トランスポート・ヘリテージ・エキスポ2026で特別乗車列車として運転されました。シドニー・セントラル駅からローズ駅までを往復。
More than 100 years old, the CPH railmotors were loaned by the Paterson Rail Motor Society for special passenger rides at Transport Heritage Expo 2026, operating between Sydney Central and Rhodes.

S set ラベンダーベイトレイン
S set Lavender Bay Train

1970年代製の銀色の2階建て電車S setに乗車し、セントラルからシドニー・ハーバーブリッジを渡ってラベンダーベイへ。かつてノースショア線の終点だった旧ミルソンズポイント駅付近を訪れる、普段は旅客列車が走らない珍しいルートの特別列車。動態保存された4両編成S28による乗車体験も紹介。
Ride the preserved 1970s silver double-deck S set from Central across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Lavender Bay. This special service visits a rarely used railway branch near the former Milsons Point terminus, offering a unique opportunity to experience Sydney's railway history aboard the four-car S28.
