Vintage shuttle buses for Newport Open Days 2024

ニューポートワークショップのオープンデー2024では、メトロのニューポート駅から車両工場、鉄道博物館を結ぶシャトルバスが運行されました。 シャトルバスは個性豊かなビンテージバスが活躍しました。
For the Newport Workshop Open Days 2024, shuttle buses operated between the Newport Metro station, the rolling stock factory and the railway museum. The shuttle buses were a unique vintage bus fleet.

ニューポートワークショップのオープンデー2024では、メトロのニューポート駅から車両工場、鉄道博物館を反時計回りで結ぶシャトルバスが運行されました。 シャトルバスは3タイプの個性豊かなビンテージバスが活躍しました。
For Newport Workshop's Open Days 2024, shuttle buses operated anti-clockwise between Newport Metro station, the rolling stock factory and the railway museum. The shuttle buses were made up of three types of unique vintage buses.

マーティン & キング AEC リーガル III No.592は1953年製のハーフキャブバスです。 70歳を超える、見た目も中身も大変ビンテージなバスです。
Martin & King AEC Regal III No. 592 is a half-cab bus built in 1953. It is over 70 years old and is a very vintage bus both externally and inside.

運転席部分を除き、丸みを帯びたモノコックスタイルの車体です。 非常口はリアに設置されています。
The car has a rounded monocoque style, except for the cab area. Emergency exits are located at the rear.

客室と運転室は壁で完全に分離されています。
The cabin and cab are completely separated by a wall.

運転室。 ハーフキャブのため、あまり広くはありません。
Cabin. Not very spacious due to the half cab.

客室前方左側の窓より、前方を望むことができます。 ハーフキャブ構造ならではの景色です。
The front left window at the front of the cabin offers a view forward. This view is unique to the half-cab structure.

車内はクロスシートが基本です。 後方はサロンシートのような構造です
The interior of the car is basically cross-seated. The rear is constructed like a salon seat.

窓は2段式で、上段の窓が開閉可能です。
Windows are two-tiered, with the upper window openable.

1ドア2ステップの車体です。 車体がもう少し長く、後輪の後ろにも乗降扉が設置された2ドアタイプもかつては存在していたようです。
This is a one-door, two-step car body. There used to be a two-door type with a slightly longer body and with a passenger door behind the rear wheel.

Transit Systemsで活躍する2014年製のVolvo B7RLEのシャーシにVolgren“CR228L”の車体、No.126と並ぶマーティン & キング AEC リーガル III No.592。 年齢の差は61歳です。
Martin & King AEC Regal III No 592 alongside No 126, a 2014 Volvo B7RLE chassis with Volgren ‘CR228L’ bodywork, working for Transit Systems. The age difference is 61 years.

方向幕はSPECIAL　ルートナンバーは2。 今回のビンテージシャトルバスで1番人気の車両でした。
なお、同じ形式のバス、352号車がシドニーバスミュージアムに保存されています。
The destination sign was SPECIAL Route number 2. This was the most popular vehicle on this vintage shuttle bus.
Note that a bus of the same type, car number 352, is preserved at the Sydney Bus Museum.

元ベンチュラバスラインズの339号車。 339は、90年代半ばに導入されたベンチュラバスラインズのボルグレン スカニアL113CRBです。 メルボルン東部郊外のオークリー、ノックスフィールド、クロイドン周辺にて2014年頃まで活躍していました。
方向幕（フリップディスクディスプレイ）は特別に、OPEN DAY SHUTTLEになっています。
Ex Ventura Bus Lines car 339. 339 is a Ventura Bus Lines Volgren Scania L113CRB introduced in the mid-1990s. It was in service in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne around Oakleigh, Knoxfield and Croydon until around 2014.
The destination sign (flip disc display) is specially designed to be an OPEN DAY SHUTTLE.

339のリア。 リアの大型1枚窓が非常口となっています。
339 Rear. The large single rear window serves as an emergency exit.

ニューポートワークショップの構内で休憩中の339。歴史ある工場に佇むビンテージバスの風景は最高です。

シャトルバスサービスを終え、車庫へと回送される339。 方向幕も　VENTURABUS.COM.AU　に変更されています。
339 being sent back to the depot after completing the shuttle bus service. The directional sign has also been changed to VENTURABUS.COM.AU.

元ベンディゴトランジット（クリスチャンズバス）の136号車。 Volvo B10MのシャーシにAustral Pacific "Commuter"のボディの車両です。
方向幕は特別に、NEWPORT WORKSHOPS OPEN DAY SHUTTLE　になっています。

ワークショップのバス停を発車する136号車。 方向幕は特別に、STEAMRAIL OPENDAY SHUTTLE　になっています。 どうやら方向幕は複数パターンが存在するようです。
Car 136 departs from the workshop bus stop. The destination sign is specially marked STEAMRAIL OPENDAY SHUTTLE. Apparently there are multiple patterns of directional curtains.

鉄道博物館バス停を発車する136号車。 BENDIGOの駅名看板の傍をベンディゴトランジットのバスが走る様は、ここメルボルンから160㎞離れたベンディゴにいるような光景です。
136 departs from the Railway Museum bus stop. The Bendigo Transit buses run alongside the BENDIGO station name sign, as if they were in Bendigo, 160 km from here in Melbourne.

シャトルバスサービスを終え、車庫へと回送される136号車。
